Mallorca Famtrip – traffics supports an exclusive travel agent event in Mallorca
We, Connected Destination by traffics – the pioneers in the digital travel industry and one of the leading companies for travel technology-, are proud that we were able to organise and support an exclusive famtrip to Mallorca, initiated by tourism expert Michael Röntzsch.
As part of the campaign, more than 40 German travel agents visited the island in order to have a look at the new safety measures implemented for tourists and to discuss effective solutions for a restart of the tourism industry.
Further supporters and participants of the famtrip were Valentin Hotels, Condor, Tourism Turn as well as the general tourism director of Calvia, Javier Pascuet, who held an encouraging speech and welcomed the guests to the island.
Connected Destination is helping to re-activate tourism destinations
Our team of Connected Destination joined the event to represent our beautiful island to the visitors as part of the famtrip and to support the safety measures that have been put in place for a comfortable and safe trip to Mallorca. It meant a lot to us to share with the participants that Mallorca is a safe-for-tourism destination, well-prepared to receive tourists in 2020.
Everyone left for Germany knowing that a trip to Mallorca during these times is absolutely possible and that they can, without any doubt, continue selling and promoting Mallorca to their clients. They were pleasantly surprised that tourists do not have to wear a mask at the beach, promenade, pool, neither in the countryside.
In the latest newsletter, traffics shared these famtrip highlights with its longstanding client base of travel agents, tour operators and booking portals. This was one project of many we joined to support destinations during these challenging times. Our team will participate in further famtrips to various destinations in order to help destinations to get back up on their feet and the key, we believe, is for travel agent sales representatives to see and feel the actual destination to pass on first-hand information to their clients in Germany.
We are convinced that it is our common duty to support each other in all sectors of the tourism industry and are delighted to have seen such an amazing participation and motivation from everyone.
